Storefronts Seattle: 9/20 Thurs trip

Paul D. McKee

This Thursday's trip will take us to a few of the Storefronts Seattle locations. Like the last trip, we will all meet in the Core Studio to sign attendance and rendezvous to catch the bus. Be here no later than 6:30 PM.

Our primary target is the Paul D. Mckee storefront located at 411 Maynard Ave. S. There are a few other fronts you can hit around this area. Check out this map:

We will take the ST 545 from the Stewart and 9th stop and get off at the 5th Ave and S. Jackson stop.  There are buses leaving @ 6:41 and 6:50. You can enter our information into this trip planner for details. Don't forget your exact bus fare.

I'm Sticking with You

Gluing. An essential skill in the material arts, yet one that is often filled with mystery. Students, be troubled no more by these haunting questions as I have provided you with an essential tool. Among the "Helpful Links" I have linked to a website called, "This to That," which provides you with exactly that information, how to glue this to that.

ART REVIEW

A stroll with sound/video artist Gary Hill through his new show

Seattle Times review: link

This is a review of the show you will see at the Henry. It is a nice little primer if you are unfamiliar with the show or this artist's work.

Also, I have put up a wealth of resources in the sidebar of the blog. More will undoubtedly come in the future, and I am open to suggestions. But for now, you can find links to stores around town where you can get all sorts of materials, as well as a random sampling of some local art galleries and museums.
