Shirin Neshat: Tooba, 2002

Also, you can take the Cornish Shuttle to Kerry Hall and walk to the Museum, which would be a short half-mile walk from there. Here's the link to the Cornish Shuttle map and schedule:

And here's a map for your feets from Kerry to the Museum:

If you choose to drive or carpool, there is free parking at the museum. Here is a map if you are driving from MCC:

A few things about the SAAM:
* No pens in museum (they can provide small golf pencils if needed)
* No large bags or food in galleries (can check bag, but it will be left in non-secure cubbies in front)
* No photo in special exhibition gallery
* No flash photo in rest of galleries

Good luck. Don't be late, and don't forget to SIGN IN.

Paste Paper

Meredith Broberg

We'll be having a paste paper session this Friday at 9:00 in the Core Studios. If you are interested in this technique feel free to come. I have posted a link to a straightforward and informative tutorial on making paste paper, so even if you can't make the session you will have some reference. This is easy stuff.

Acrylic Transfers

Tower Block by Matt Callow

A student asked me how to do an acrylic transfer. It is information that might be useful to know. Here is a link to an instructables by djeucalyptus that is pretty straight-forward.

The only thing I would add to this is that you can utilize a hair dryer to speed up the dry times. Hit the thin layer of medium on low heat for a moment, then switch to cool air until the medium has dried. This will save you a lot of time.

Again, in case you missed it, here is the link:
